Working within the confined space of the existing Raleigh home, we removed walls and installed columns with a steel beam across the new expanse creating an unobstructed, panoramic view of the lake the homeowner hoped to achieve. The use of Heartwood Pine flooring throughout the first floor offers the advantage of carrying the eye throughout the kitchen and adjoining family space The cherry handrail with the oval rosette complemented by the black wrought iron balusters and leads you upstairs. The cornsilk yellow accents the rustic cherry raised panel fireplace surround and mantel blends beautifully with the custom entertainment center that is finished off with beadboard backing. This Raleigh homeowner visited several homes on the Parade of Homes and found a fireplace that gave her an idea for her home. She had us replace the old brick fireplace with one that is tapered from side to side and front to back. The honed palamino 16 x 16 tile surrounding the fireplace completes the look of the family room.
